Shopping centre “Domina Shopping” has kicked off 2025 with remarkable activity – during the first quarter (January, February and March), a total of 12 new, relocated, or redesigned stores have opened their doors, offering a wide selection of high-quality local and international brands. This marks the highest number of store openings within such a short three-month period over the past five years – a track-record that also signals a positive trend for the entire shopping centre industry. Total investments from “Domina Shopping” and its tenants exceed EUR 400,000.
Dina Bunce, Director of “Domina Shopping”, comments: “Traditionally, the first quarter is seen as relatively calm in the retail sector, but not for us. This period has been especially dynamic – we have opened 12 new and conceptually revamped stores. And this was only the beginning of the year – more exciting additions are on the way, especially in the sports and fashion categories. We sincerely value our tenants’ investments and trust in the “Domina Shopping” team and in this location as a promising place for retail business development”.
Fashion segment highlights
To enhance customer experience and offer an even wider selection, several popular fashion stores have undergone successful reconstruction. At the end of March, Estonian designer brand “Ivo Nikkolo” opened a newly redesigned store with an updated assortment catering to fans of both elegant and casual styles. In February, the men’s suit brand “Pierre Cardin” reopened, and denim brand store “Levi’s” welcomed visitors with a refreshed, modern interior.
The apparel and accessories store “X jeans” moved to a space twice its previous size and expanded its range with globally renowned denim brands “Lee” and “Wrangler”. Footwear store “Eiropas apavi” and travel gear store “Travel bag” have also moved to new locations.
Catering, home and wellness categories
Preparing for the spring season, “Domina Shopping” has significantly expanded its offerings in the catering, home goods and wellness categories. The tastiest new arrival – “UMAMI wok n’roll” restaurant – will delight fans of Asian cuisine with delicious ramen soups, woks and sushi.
The home segment was complemented by the popular “Dormeo Home” store, while electronics retailer “Hottt” moved to a new, modern stand-type location. In the wellness and lifestyle segment, a new “Fielmann” optical salon from Germany and the store “Todalya” offering Israeli cosmetics and oriental household goods have opened. The sports nutrition store “Vitamīns.lv” has also reopened in a new, more convenient location.
