TALLINN - Estonia's Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs Liisa Pakosta and Germany's Minister of Digital Transformation and State Modernization Karsten Wildberger on Monday signed a joint digital innovation partnership agreement between the two countries in Heilbronn.
"Estonia and Germany are two technologically advanced countries with very similar legal systems. This gives us the opportunity to show Europe how innovation can be implemented cross-border and practically - for the benefit of our economies and citizens. For Estonia, this partnership must not remain merely on the level of principles. The agreement contains concrete opportunities for cooperation, and we have a plan to implement them: to open new opportunities for Estonian companies and help bring their experience and solutions to the German market more effectively," said Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs Liisa Pakosta.
The agreement focuses on cooperation in using agent-based artificial intelligence and AI platforms in the public sector, including testing AI solutions, developing large-scale public sector use cases, and sharing open-source components.
The parties also agreed to exchange experiences on sovereign digital infrastructure, the state cloud, cross-border data exchange, and the scalability of services.
